Admissions Process
Welcome to the admissions journey at Catskill Montessori School! Our enrollment season begins in November for the upcoming school year, encompassing a comprehensive process to ensure a good fit for each student in our Montessori environment.
Key Steps in Our Admissions Process:
Explore Our Programs: Start by visiting our website to learn about our diverse programs, ranging from toddlers (18-36 months) to secondary students.
Schedule a School Tour: Experience our learning environment firsthand. Tours start in November.
Application Submission: Fill out both the admission and financial aid applications to be considered for our sliding-scale tuition. Ensure you have your financial documents ready by February for re-enrollment and March for new enrollments to support a timely submission.
Student Visits: Depending on the child's age, a half to three-day visit is arranged in the spring. This step helps us assess the student's learning needs and suitability for our Montessori environment. Not required for toddlers.
Parent/Guardian Meetings: Ideally held during the initial tour and observation period, these meetings facilitate a deeper understanding between parents and our admin team.
Final Admissions Acceptance: After a provisional acceptance period, we decide on the student’s permanent acceptance or suggest alternatives if CMS is not the best fit.
Important Dates:
Early November: Applications open; observations and tours begin.
Mid-February: Website updated with current year’s school calendar
Re-enrollment window for current students starts
March 1: TADS FA Application to be completed for re-enrolling students
March 15 - April 15: Prospective families notified of enrollment status
